What if you could spend part of your summer in New York, experience one of the world’s most exciting cities and do something that makes a genuine difference to other people’s lives?
HYPE Merseyside is offering students the opportunity to join our New York Volunteer Experience in summer 2027. Over the course of the trip, you’ll work alongside HYPE staff and our American community partners, supporting children through sport, play, creative activities and community projects.
This isn’t just a sightseeing trip. It’s an opportunity to challenge yourself, develop new skills, meet new people and return home with experiences that can help shape your future.
Support children and young people through a range of fun, engaging and educational activities. From sports and games to arts, music, dance and creative projects, you’ll help create positive experiences for children while developing your own skills and confidence.
We’re looking for students who are enthusiastic, motivated and willing to try something different. What matters most is your attitude, willingness to learn and interest in helping children and young people. We welcome interest from students studying a wide range of subjects, including sport, education, health, social care, arts, media and related courses.
HYPE Merseyside has been creating opportunities for young people since 2008. Through our international projects, we’ve supported young people to travel overseas, gain valuable experience and work with children in different communities.
Experience New York beyond the usual tourist attractions. Our international programmes have included activities in Central Park, Hudson River Park and Brooklyn Bridge Park, alongside opportunities to explore famous landmarks and experience the city.
